In the beginning of the 20th century the first edition to include pieces from the Bible was The Sunday Gospel and Teachings by the Catholic priest Ildefons [ildefons – для дыктара] Bobich. Its three volumes were edited by a well-known priest and writer Adam Stankievich. For a long time it was the only study edition of the Word of God in Belarusian.
